Best free CRM for a small lot: HubSpot

HubSpot is the free-backfill pick - HubSpot Free is $0/mo for 2 users and 1,000 contacts, and Starter is $20/mo with simple automation on the same 1,000 contacts. Professional runs $100/mo per seat plus a $1,500 one-time onboarding fee, so budget before you scale.

Best for follow-up discipline: Pipedrive

Pipedrive is the pipeline pick - Pipedrive Lite is $24/mo per seat for 3,000 open deals and 10 pipelines, and Growth at $49/mo adds workflow automation so every internet lead gets a same-day callback. It is purely a sales floor: no marketing suite bolted on.

Best for text-first internet leads: GoHighLevel

GoHighLevel is the texting pick - GoHighLevel Starter is $97/mo for 3 sub-accounts with a built-in phone system and two-way texting, which is what a BDC chasing website and third-party leads actually answers on. It is the priciest tool on this page, so it only pays for itself when lead volume is real.

Lite$24/mo, or $14/mo billed annuallyPer seat. Lead, deal and activity management, 3,000 open deals, 10 pipelines. US$168 per seat/year billed annually.

Ultimate$99/mo, or $79/mo billed annuallyPer seat. Project templates, 5-minute sync, phone support, 100 pipelines. US$948 per seat/year billed annually.

What to watch: Pipedrive prints the annual per-seat rate by default. On 2026-10-13 those cards still showed Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $59 and Ultimate $79. The monthly toggle was not opened, so the monthly column stays the 2026-10-05 reading. Each card says a 14-day trial with no credit card. The Premium card carries Pipedrive's own Most Popular badge. This page does not treat that badge as a count of customers. Add-on starting prices were read on the annual view. Prices are per seat, so a 5-person team pays five times the seat rate.

What to watch: Every plan price, annual total and add-on price on this page was read from gohighlevel.com/pricing itself. GoHighLevel does not publish a free plan. On 2026-10-11 the plan cards said 14 days free, and the page's own disclaimer said billing starts automatically unless you cancel, and phone, text, email, and AI usage fees can apply during the trial. Add-ons are extra. Some are billed per sub-account, some are a flat monthly fee, and WordPress hosting is per site. The same page also lists the certification program at $97 a month, online listings at $30 a month per sub-account, the premium prospecting tool at $29 a month per sub-account, and WordPress hosting from $10 a month per site. Zoho CRM Standard is $20/mo - the best starting point for a small sales floor because it covers leads, deals and follow-up without per-feature pricing. Pipedrive Lite is $24/mo per seat if the team wants a stricter, sales-only pipeline.

Which CRM handles car-shopper text messages best?
