Best Email Marketing for Hotels: 5 Tools Compared at Their Own Prices
Hotels sell repeat stays, and repeat stays live in the inbox: pre-arrival notes, post-stay thank-yous, and the slow-season offer. This is the best email marketing for hotels, based on the five email platforms this site tracks in depth, with every price read from the vendors' own pricing pages and their published plan limits on 2026-10-13. One flag: none of these are hotel-specific property-system plugins, so this page ranks the email tools themselves, not their booking-engine integrations.
Prices last re-checked 2026-10-04. Numbers are read from each vendor's own pricing page; any exception is flagged under "What to watch".

Cheapest paid plan: Brevo
Brevo is the cheap-start pick - Brevo Free is $0/mo at 300 emails a day with unlimited contacts, and Brevo Starter is $9/mo for 5,000 emails a month. Brevo prices by monthly email volume instead of contact count, so a hotel with tens of thousands of past guests pays nothing extra just to store them.
See Brevo pricingBest for automating repeat stays: ActiveCampaign
ActiveCampaign is the automation pick - ActiveCampaign Plus is $49/mo billed annually at 1,000 email contacts with unlimited automation actions and standard segmentation. Pre-arrival, post-stay, and win-back sequences are exactly what those automation actions are for.
See ActiveCampaign pricingBest simple option for a small property: MailerLite
MailerLite is the small-property pick - MailerLite Free is $0/mo up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, and MailerLite Comfort is $12/mo with 50 automations when the list grows. A bed-and-breakfast can run a real newsletter on the free plan.
See MailerLite pricingBest for hotels that also post to social: Constant Contact
Constant Contact is the social pick - Constant Contact Lite is $12/mo billed monthly with email and social tools in one place, and the send limit is 10x your contact count on Lite.
See Constant Contact pricingBest if the guest list stays small: Mailchimp
Mailchimp is the contact-priced pick - Mailchimp Essentials is $13/mo at the 0-500 contacts tier. One caution: every Mailchimp price climbs with contact count, so a hotel importing its whole guest history should model the cost first.

What to watch: Brevo prices by monthly email volume rather than contact count: the numbers above are the page's 5,000 emails/month default and rise with the volume slider. SMS credits cost extra. The 'no Brevo logo' add-on is $10.80/mo on Starter.

See Brevo pricingConstant Contact

What to watch: Starting prices climb with the contact count, and the pricing page does not print a full contact-tier ladder, so prices above the starting tier are not on this page. Extra sends are $0.002 each. The pricing FAQ says a free trial with no credit card and does not print the number of days. Constant Contact's own landing page, read the same morning, says the trial is 30 days and no credit card is required. A paid plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. The pricing FAQ calls Standard its most popular plan. This page does not treat that as a count of customers.

At 1,000 email contacts, ActiveCampaign starts at $15, $49, $79 and $145 per month billed annually. Each card says Starts at. The page does not print a month-to-month price.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $15/mo billed annually | At 1,000 email contacts. Starts at $15/mo, billed annually. 1 user, limited segmentation, 5 actions per automation, Active Intelligence with limits. |
| Plus | $49/mo billed annually | At 1,000 email contacts. Starts at $49/mo, billed annually. 1 user, standard segmentation, unlimited automation actions, landing pages, Active Intelligence with limits. |
| Pro | $79/mo billed annually | At 1,000 email contacts. Starts at $79/mo, billed annually. 3 users, advanced segmentation, unlimited automation actions, landing pages, predictive and conditional content, attribution. ActiveCampaign labels this card Popular. |
| Enterprise | $145/mo billed annually | At 1,000 email contacts. Starts at $145/mo, billed annually. 5 users, premium segmentation, unlimited automation actions, custom objects, single sign-on, a dedicated account team, Active Intelligence. |
What to watch: The prices in the table are the 1,000-email-contact cards on activecampaign.com/pricing, read 2026-10-12. Each card says Starts at and Billed annually. That view does not print a month-to-month dollar, so the monthly column says not printed. Other contact counts were not on that screenshot, so this page does not print a contact ladder. The Pro card carries ActiveCampaign's own Popular badge. This page does not treat that as a count of customers. The page headline says guaranteed results in 30 days or your money back. That sentence is ActiveCampaign's.

What to watch: The entry prices and free-plan caps are first-party, read from mailerlite.com/pricing. The annual rates and the subscriber-tier ladder are third-party (EmailToolTester, updated 5 Aug 2026) because MailerLite computes those numbers in JavaScript.

|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo (no annual discount published) | Under 250 contacts, core features. Sending pauses if the contact or email-send limit is exceeded. On 2026-10-14 the comparison table's Free column printed Max of 500/mo or 250/day. |

What to watch: Mailchimp prices are per contact tier and the page quotes 'starts at' rates: move the contacts slider and every number changes. On 2026-10-14 the comparison table's Free column printed Max of 500/mo or 250/day. The page prints no annual-billing rates - only a 15%-off-for-12-months promo for 10,000+ contacts.

Every email-marketing comparison starts with these three names, so here is what each one actually charges. Every price below was read on the vendor's own pricing page and is re-checked weekly - the link goes to the full plan tables and the fine print:
- Mailchimp is free under 250 contacts. The free-plan column prints a max of 500 emails a month or 250 a day. Paid plans start at $13/mo for Essentials, $20/mo for Standard and $350/mo for Premium at the 0-500 contacts tier, and every price climbs as the contact count grows.
- Brevo is free at 300 emails a day, then Starter is $9/mo, Standard $18/mo and Professional $499/mo billed monthly, with yearly billing taking 10% off. Brevo prices by monthly email volume, not by contact count.
- Constant Contact starts at $12/mo on Lite, $35/mo on Standard and $80/mo on Premium billed monthly, or $10.20 / $29.75 / $68 per month billed annually. There is no permanent free plan. Constant Contact's own landing page says the trial is 30 days and no credit card is required. A paid plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Cheaper first paid month: Brevo Starter at $9/mo is below the cheapest paid step among the picks above (MailerLite Comfort at $12/mo). Those entry prices are for the smallest list or send volume each vendor sells, so price them at your own size before you switch.
Compare these numbers against the picks above at your own list size: the cheapest tool for a 500-contact shop is rarely the cheapest at 10,000 subscribers, and the free tiers stop at very different places.
Questions people ask
Do hotels actually need an email list?
Brevo keeps unlimited contacts even on Brevo Free at $0/mo, so every past guest sits in the CRM while you send up to 300 emails a day - yes, a hotel list is worth having.
Should a hotel pay by contacts or by sends?
Depends on the list - Brevo prices by monthly email volume while Mailchimp prices by contact count and every price climbs as the list grows. A big guest list that mails rarely favors Brevo.
What is the cheapest option here?
Brevo Free is $0/mo at 300 emails a day with unlimited contacts - the cheapest way to start sending stay offers to past guests.
Can I automate pre-arrival and post-stay email?
ActiveCampaign Plus includes unlimited automation actions at $49/mo billed annually, and MailerLite Comfort gives you 50 automations at $12/mo - either one runs the full stay cycle.
What does a small bed-and-breakfast actually need?
A monthly newsletter and a booking link - MailerLite Free covers 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month at $0/mo, and Constant Contact Lite starts at $12/mo when you want social posting in the same tool.
